Description/Significance
Reconstruction of the airport’s general aviation apron and taxiway involved minimal excavation, but crews had to contend with a high groundwater table and marginal soils.

Reconstruction of Runway 14-32 required 200,000 yards of excavation and narrowed the existing runway from 150 feet wide to 100 feet wide. A new storm drain system needed to be installed to replace the old one that was failing.
