Description/Significance
This project required reclaiming all existing pavement to narrow the runway by 25 feet on each side.

A large amount of subsurface work was required, including installation of 1400 feet of reinforced concrete pipe under and across the runway.

The job required 85,000 yards of excavation, 44,000 cubic yards of topsoil to be stripped and replaced, and 11,000 cubic yards of P209 aggregate to be placed and compacted.
