Description/Significance
This project included construction of 5 1/2 miles of access roadway and 12 turbine pads. Steep terrain at elevations over 2,000 feet and access to the job site were the most difficult hurdles to deal with.

This wind farm has the capacity to produce 24 megawatts of electricity from 12 2-megawatt turbines. The project included 200,000 yards of excavation, 25,000 feet of electrical trenching, earthwork for an operations an maintenance building, and an additional pad for a meteorological tower. Crews had to crush 50,000 yards of gravel, and 2,500 feet of reinforced concrete pipe was used for cross culverts along the roadway.
